FAQ’s
What is Moxiyo?
Moxiyo is a patented, natural and safe product that produces carbon dioxide (CO2), an inert gas known to have bacteriostatic properties. When it is introduced in the same air space Moxiyo sustains and maintains food in its same state of existence, almost like stopping time. It has the ability to maintain the moisture content, reduce the respiration rate and preserve the food safely and naturally.
What are the Benefits of Moxiyo?
Manufacturers, processors and retailers will realize immediate benefits when using Moxiyo. Moxiyo extends the freshness of perishable foods, it improves the air quality in refrigerated enclosures and reduces the risk of cross contamination. It reduces offensive odors with less spoilage and fewer discards. It lowers the temperature of food naturally; it chills harvested food quickly, and improves the efficiencies of cooling systems thus reducing power and fuel costs.
Is Moxiyo Safe?
Yes! Moxiyo is SAFE! Non toxic, and completely natural. Moxiyo is on the GRAS list (Generally Recognized As Safe by the FDA. Not known to be hazardous to health and thus approved for use next to foods).
What is an Oxygen Absorber? How Does it Work?
Oxygen absorber packs are used in packaging to extend shelf life. Oxygen absorbers are found in: packaged jerky, packaged dried fruit, packaged uncooked flour tortillas, bakery products, bacon bits, pet food, pharmaceutical pill bottles and other packaged products. If oxygen is allowed to remain enclosed in the same package with food items, it will cause rapid spoilage to occur. Moxiyo is non-toxic if consumed and is non-toxic when used next to food products. Moxiyo releases CO2 which becomes greater than oxygen in a packaged environment thus extending the shelf life of perishable foods. Moxiyo benefits, in a food production and preservation environment, are far superior than traditional oxygen absorbers made of iron oxide. In addition, because Moxiyo is made from a crystalized mineral, it will pass through metal detectors unlike the current iron oxide products.
Is Moxiyo Environmentally-safe?
Yes! Moxiyo is Biodegradable & Recyclable.
